Birthday Layout
It's been awhile since I've had a chance to post as I've been extremely busy with my job that actually pays me. I hope to begin posting again soon with more frequency.
I recently went to a 14 hour scrapbook crop in recognition of "National Scrapbook Day" and what fun I had. This is just one of a few layouts I did so I thought I would share it with you all. I saw the basic idea somewhere but I don't remember where so I can't give credit where credit is due.
This layout uses the very cute cupcake from the "Doodlecharm" cartridge. I also experimented with a new tool from We R Memory called the "Sew Easy". This is a great paper piercing tool that has different design heads available for many different designs. This is a must have tool for both scrapbookers and card makers.

Happy Easter Paper Baskets
Spread a little love this Easter with these adorable paper baskets filled with chocolates. All you need to get started is a designer paper, cardstock and punches of your choice. And let's not forget the most important element, chocolate, of course.
It's so easy. Just start with a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper. Score at 2" and 4". Rotate 90 degrees and score again at 2" and 4". Cut at the 2" and 4" mark up to the first score on opposing sides. Fold and add handle. Punch through all layers and add a brad to secure.

Thank You Card
What an interesting week. We had a taste of spring earlier in the week which was the inspiration for this card but as I share this post, it seems we've reverted back to winter.
What or who do you have to be thankful for in your life? I have so many people that have blessed me, that I just wanted to dedicate this card to them. (You know who you are!) I hope this card gives you some inspiration to drop a note to someone today, thanking them for just being them.

A Masculine Birthday Card
Masculine cards have always been a bit of a challenge for me. I think the "To The Nines Specialty DP" is a perfect remedy for that! (too bad it's discontinued) I stamped my image on white paper using Sage Shadow and Chocolate Chip. I then sponged the edge to make it look more vintage.
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers and Well Scripted (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Whisper White, To The Nines DSP, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, Sahara Sand
Ink: Sage Shadow & Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Silver Brads, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Punches: Scallop Trim Border

Get Well Card
I spent a few days at the office this week and I never enjoy just sitting in the hotel room every evening. I decided to make a trip to Walmart to see what Cricut cartridges they had in stock. I've had my eyes on the Cricut Lite Cherry Limeade Cartridge for a while now but I couldn't find it at any of my local stores. Wouldn't you know they had it so I just couldn't pass up purchasing it. It has a great font and some cute images too.
Enjoy your weekend!
